About The Position

This individual independently plans, performs the moderately-defined responsibility for the designing, integrating, verifying, validating, and commercializing of Wireless WAN (or cellular) modem air interface RAN (Radio access Network) technologies by working on Modem access stratum, firmware, software and RF SW running on modem HW. This individual is a CI (continuous integration) functional area lead supervising team members. Responsibilities include direct interactions with internal CI customers among multiple technology teams, gathering, scoping and presenting requirements for phone Modem integration and validation, holding design reviews and planning deliverables and timelines. Goals include working closely with other functional groups to develop a cost effective, high quality and high capability modem IP that meets industry and customer requirements with high performance (e.g., throughput, latency, power consumption) and acceptable cost (e.g., silicon area, calibration complexity, code size) within planned time. Responsible for CI system real time monitoring and immediate/fast response/triage to emerging issues. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and five (5) years of progressive experience in a related occupation.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field, the employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in any field and one (1) additional year of experience in a related occupation.
  • Any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
