About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Senior Information System Security Engineer to support Program Offices within Department of War Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). The role supports non-enterprise information systems for large-scale programs of record and multiple Science and Technology programs. The Senior ISSE provides direct support to the Program Office Technical Lead onsite at NSWC Crane and is expected to travel regularly to SPHQ or Field Activities. The ISSE ensures cybersecurity requirements support system acquisition, development, test, and sustainment and are incorporated into SSP system designs. The role involves analyzing requirements and designing, developing, implementing, and integrating cybersecurity architectures and capabilities that provide cyber resiliency for SSP non-enterprise systems. The engineer helps select design alternatives that appropriately account for mission risk related to cybersecurity posture.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
At least 5 years of relevant experience.
CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent.
Operating System/Computing Environment (OS/CE) certificate of training, as dictated by Command CWF-PM.
Ability to collaborate with large and highly competent technical teams.
Strategic, high-level thinking.
Ability or experience planning an initiative involving large-scale, networked systems.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/CNWDI U.S. Government clearance; an interim Secret clearance is required to start.
U.S. citizenship, required to obtain a Secret/TS/CNWDI clearance.
Willingness and ability to travel 40% or more.

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification.
Active Top Secret clearance.
Military experience and Department of War Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and apply requirements for large-scale or service-specific pilot projects.
Support the Program Office Technical Lead by identifying issues and action items and participating in ISSE discussions.
Interact with Program Offices and associated contractors and subcontractors through teleconferences and onsite meetings.
Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders, including SSP representatives and contractors and subcontractors, through assessments, proposal subject-matter-expert input, technical interchange meetings, status teleconferences, email correspondence, and other meetings as required.
Support development of technical presentations and provide comments on technical content.
Develop System Security Plans detailing the security controls implemented for each information system.
Support the Program Office's DoW Acquisition process by preparing, reviewing, and presenting Objective Quality Evidence for multiple programs, including Cyber Security Strategy, GAO responses, Clinger Cohen Act, and Cyber Test & Evaluation Strategy, in compliance with SSP regulations.
Work with SSP programs to develop and maintain lifecycle plans.
Evaluate performer deliverables and presentations.
Ensure cybersecurity requirements support acquisition, development, test, and sustainment and are embedded in SSP system designs.
Analyze requirements and develop, implement, and integrate cybersecurity system architectures and capabilities for cyber resiliency in SSP non-enterprise systems.
Select design alternatives that appropriately account for mission risk related to cybersecurity posture.
