About The Position

Hermetic Seal Corporation is seeking a highly motivated entry-level mechanical Engineer to report to the NPD Department. The role supports the design, manufacture, and continuous improvement of high-reliability glass-to-metal seal (GTMS) products used in aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial applications. It provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes, materials engineering, hermetic sealing technology, and product development.

The Engineer I participates in new product introduction, process validation, and continuous improvement; creates and maintains engineering documentation; collaborates with cross-functional teams; and supports manufacturing and production operations for hermetic sealing products. The successful candidate should be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and cost.

Hermetic Seal Corporation, located in Rosemead, California, manufactures hermetic seal products including connectors, headers, and feed-throughs. Its factory is Qualified Products Listed on significant military-specification glass-to-metal-sealed connector types in the aerospace industry, and it also manufactures European aerospace-qualified connectors and customized products.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience; internships and co-op experience are welcomed.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to manufacturing, machining, aerospace, or electronics packaging environments.
• Knowledge of GD&T, Lean Manufacturing, or statistical analysis methods.
• Ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and reduce cost, including identifying appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluating AI-generated outputs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in new product introduction, process validation, and continuous improvement projects.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), routings, work instructions, and drawings.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Operations, and Design Engineering teams.
• Support manufacturing and production operations for hermetic sealing products.
