About The Position
Emergency Medical Technicians respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. They assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. EMTs document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights. They help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients; use EMT skills, communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools; and operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and applicable traffic laws. EMTs work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. The role also includes participating in community programs to support the company’s image and build strong community relations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- State driver’s license.
- National or State EMT certification.
- CPR/BLS certifications.
- Driving record in compliance with company policy.
- Pass a Physical Agility Test.
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.
