About The Position

Lifeguard Ambulance Service is hiring full-time Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance. AEMTs deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. Hourly rates start at $20.00, depending on experience (DOE).

The role includes assessing patients, determining and providing appropriate care, documenting patient information and treatment while protecting confidentiality and patient rights, and maintaining a safe, clean, well-stocked environment. AEMTs operate ambulances in accordance with company safety policies and applicable traffic laws, and work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. They may also participate in community programs to support the company’s image and community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State driver’s license.
• National or state AEMT certification.
• CPR/BLS certifications.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass the Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience; healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills and equipment, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws for emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain the company’s image and establish strong community relations.
