About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide patients with high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. Hourly rates start at $18.00 and are based on experience (DOE). AEMTs assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. They document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights, and help keep the care environment safe, clean, and well stocked. The role also involves operating an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and applicable traffic laws, collaborating professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs, and participating in community programs to support AMR’s image and community relations. AMR is part of Global Medical Response (GMR), whose teams provide compassionate medical care, primarily in emergency and patient relocation services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State driver’s license.
• National or state AEMT certification.
• CPR/BLS certifications.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills, including communication, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws applicable to emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
