About The Position

The Brand Amp is seeking an experienced Cinematographer / Editor to join their growing content production team. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who is equally comfortable behind the camera and in the edit suite. The role involves bringing brand stories to life through compelling video and photo content that supports integrated marketing campaigns, social media initiatives, branded entertainment, product launches, and commercial productions. The individual will work closely with Producers, Creative Directors, Project Leads, and clients to shape concepts from pre-production through final delivery. Responsibilities include developing shot lists, capturing cinematic footage, editing polished final assets with motion graphics, color correction, sound design, and creating platform-specific deliverables. This position requires a creative thinker with strong technical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced agency environment. Candidates should have 3 to 10 years of professional production experience and be based near Orange County (CA), with the ability to work a hybrid schedule. Some travel is required.

Requirements

  • 3 to 10 years of professional cinematography and video editing experience
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, lighting, camera movement, and audio capture
  • Ability to collaborate with Project Leads and Creative teams to execute creative vision
  • Experience developing shot lists and production plans prior to shoots
  • Operate cinema cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, drones, and supporting production equipment
  • Edit high-quality long-form and short-form video content for social media, digital campaigns, commercials, events, and branded storytelling
  • Produce polished edits including color correction, sound mixing, motion graphics, supers, simple animations, and final exports
  • Ability to utilize strong time management skills to organize project assets, maintain editing workflows, and manage file structures while balancing multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently on productions while collaborating closely with producers, creatives, clients, and external vendors
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, and DaVinci Resolve
  • Willingness to continue learning new production techniques, creative trends, AI-assisted workflows, and emerging technologies
  • Ability to utilize AI-based LLMs such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity to improve production efficiency and creative workflows
  • Willingness to travel as production schedules require (occasional weekend work required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in action sports is a plus
  • Part 107 certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Project Leads and Creative teams to execute creative concepts from pre-production through final delivery
  • Develop shot lists and production plans that align with creative objectives
  • Lead cinematography during studio and on-location productions while maintaining high production standards
  • Capture high-quality video and photography for integrated marketing campaigns and branded content
  • Edit projects from rough cut through final delivery, including graphics, supers, animations, color grading, audio mixing, and platform-specific formatting
  • Ensure technical excellence and creative consistency across all deliverables
  • Prepare final assets for digital, social, broadcast, and client delivery
  • Maintain production equipment, organize media, archive projects, and support efficient production workflows
  • Contribute creative ideas during concept development, production planning, and post-production reviews
