About The Position

The Technical Editor supports the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The role edits, creates, reviews, and updates technical documents, working with a team and document authors to deliver highly technical content that complies with Army Writing Style. The editor drafts, writes, edits, proofreads, and comments on team documents, ensuring accuracy in formatting, grammar, capitalization, typefaces, numerals, compound words, spacing, spelling, and document structure. This includes checking that the table of contents matches document headings, page numbers are correct, tables, figures, references, equations, and footnotes are properly numbered and identified, and references to other documents are accurate.

Requirements

Bachelor of Arts degree.
At least 2 years of related experience.
Information technology skills.
Secret security clearance; must currently possess and be able to obtain Secret clearance.
U.S. citizenship required.
Communication and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

Fluency with Microsoft Office 2007 and later, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities
