About The Position
E-Logic is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a proposed IT Finance & Performance Reporting initiative for the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE). This position is part of a competitive proposal effort and is contingent upon contract award. The ideal candidate will have experience developing executive-level dashboards, performing financial and operational data analysis, and delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and operational performance. Candidates should expect occasional travel into New York City, particularly during planning, coordination, and stakeholder alignment phases.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of Data Analysis experience supporting business, financial, or operational initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or similar data visualization and reporting tools
- Strong experience developing executive dashboards and performance reporting solutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- SQL experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to present complex data in a clear, concise, and executive-friendly format
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting government, public sector, or education sector initiatives
- Familiarity with financial reporting, forecasting, and operational performance metrics
- Experience working with large datasets and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience supporting proposal-based or contract-driven engagements is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain executive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Excel, Tableau, or similar tools
- Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics
- Perform financial, operational, and performance-related data analysis
- Support the development and optimization of reporting tools, templates, and automated reporting processes
- Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, forecasting support, and data visualization activities
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms and datasets
- Translate complex datasets into clear and actionable insights for executive and stakeholder audiences
- Collaborate with project teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to support reporting and decision-making needs
