About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; or an associate degree plus 2 years of relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience requirement; or a high school diploma/GED plus 4 years of relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience requirement.
• At least 5 years of relevant healthcare experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in informatics, business intelligence, or change management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development, organization, direction, and promotion of informatics initiatives across hospitals, ambulatory clinics, emergency departments, continuing medical education programs, and in-service events.
• Support clinical and operational improvement teams by developing and refining clinical designs and serving as a liaison among providers, clinicians, and information systems leadership.
• Facilitate adoption of EMRs and build relationships with clinicians to promote technology adoption and clinical practice standards.
• Collaborate across departments and with service line leaders to plan, create, and implement improvements, clinical information system changes, and proactive business intelligence.
• Liaise with information systems communication teams to establish priorities and develop targeted approaches for service lines and physician concerns.
• Participate in clinical and operational improvement teams; direct and document clinical designs, requirements, and workflows, and translate requirements into IT specifications.
• Use communication tools, social media, and other methods to collaborate with physicians, support staff, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain clinical information system change management databases, evidence-based content, issue-tracking tools, and related vendor and knowledge bases.
• Coordinate development and delivery of education and training for physicians, support staff, and IHS team members in partnership with the IHS training team, super users, and clinical support leaders.
• Participate in safety initiatives, implement risk-mitigating measures as appropriate, and ensure compliance with position-related requirements.
• Ensure IT systems are designed to support high-reliability care and a seamless experience for patients and providers.
• Support system-wide projects and initiatives to ensure effective implementation and redesign of IT systems.
• Maintain working knowledge of healthcare informatics theories, practices, procedures, and related technology systems, and broaden capabilities.
• Own an area of EMR content or methodology; develop standards and tools, coordinate and lead the area, and maintain knowledge and documentation with the matrixed informatics team.
• Analyze complex issues and assignments for stakeholders and provide technical and troubleshooting support for escalated system issues.
• Contribute to knowledge base articles and technical and procedural documentation.
