About The Position

Requirements

• Ability to handle multiple functions.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Excellent communication and human relations skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Knowledge of hotel maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance or similar management experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct applicant screening and interviews for Engineering positions.
• Make recommendations to the Director of Engineering regarding hiring, advancement, discipline, and promotion.
• Ensure department spending stays within budgetary limits for line spending.
• Ensure departmental directives and standards are followed and maintained.
• Train, assign, and supervise staff.
• Ensure quality performance in staff assignments.
• Ensure building code and quality standards at departmental and interdepartmental levels.
• Monitor equipment and special preventive-maintenance standards to ensure product quality.
