Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific requirements, helping maintain an orderly environment for patients, donors, visitors, and staff.
  • Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
