About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to safeguard clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The role involves providing customer service while following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, responding calmly to incidents, and conducting regular and random patrols of the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The schedule is 6 PM to 6 AM, seven days on and seven days off, on a rotating schedule. Pay is $25.50 per hour, paid weekly. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and meet the education or experience requirement. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
Participate in industry-specific security and safety training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only; the posting also lists a valid driver's license as a requirement for this role.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
