Armed Security Officer Patrol Driver Overnight
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer Patrol Driver Overnight in San Antonio, Texas, to support essential utility operations. The role provides security and customer service through routine vehicle and foot patrols, a visible security presence, incident response, access control, and communication with employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers. The position requires a valid driver’s license and Texas Level III Armed Certification. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.74 per hour. Applicants must be at least 21 years old for armed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to background investigation and drug screening to the extent permitted by law, and the employee must participate in industry-specific security training.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
- Texas Level III Armed Certification.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to complete a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility customers by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed vehicle and foot patrols of utility facilities, operational areas, administrative buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.
- Monitor entry and exit points and verify authorized access for personnel and visitors.
- Maintain accurate security logs, reports, and incident documentation.
- Remain prepared to respond to emergencies while following applicable laws, company procedures, and site-specific requirements for armed personnel.
