About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Patrol Driver in Houston, Texas, to serve and safeguard clients at a retail location. The role combines armed vehicle and foot patrols with customer service, professional communication, and timely responses to security concerns. Officers maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. The listed pay rate is $22.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed vehicle and foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, theft-related concerns, and policy violations, and report observations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
• Maintain incident reports, patrol logs, and other security-related documentation in accordance with company and site procedures.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
