About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a utilities location in Sullivan, Indiana. The officer will conduct routine armed patrols, operate a vehicle as needed, maintain a visible security presence, and respond to security-related concerns. The role also involves providing professional customer service and supporting a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s culture.

Requirements

Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Undergo a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen as conditions of employment.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, operational areas, and perimeters.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized activity or suspicious conditions.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
