About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Marion, North Carolina, to serve and safeguard clients at a government corrections location. The role involves visible armed patrols, access control, incident response, and professional communication, with the goal of deterring incidents and providing exceptional service. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeters, access points, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, coordinating with facility personnel and law enforcement when needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, inspections, and other security activities.
