About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store interior, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, deliveries, and vendor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and incidents accurately.
- Maintain a professional armed presence while following Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and client-specific requirements.
