Armed Security Officer Full Time Vehicle Patrol Clearance Required
About The Position
As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will support a technology-focused location in Colorado Springs, Colorado. You will help safeguard clients and provide customer service while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols. The role includes armed vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access and activity, and communicating with site contacts and emergency services as needed. This is a full-time position paying $26.79 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
Requirements
- An active DoD Secret Clearance.
- A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a background investigation and a drug screen, as permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Operate a vehicle as part of assigned duties.
- Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify site contacts and emergency services when needed.
- Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and security-related equipment.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity according to site procedures.
- Carry authorized firearms and related equipment in compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and site post orders.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
