About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at an aerospace and defense location in Palmdale, California. This full-time driving post involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding professionally to site needs. The officer provides customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's values.

The position pays $28.68 per hour. The posted schedule is 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
• Have a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, process visitors and deliveries, and maintain accurate activity logs in accordance with site policies.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; escalate concerns to appropriate site contacts and public authorities as needed.
• Maintain required armed post equipment and documentation in accordance with company policies, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
