About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver with Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location in Huntsville, Alabama, you will help safeguard clients and support a mission-focused environment. The role includes conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control and incident response, and providing professional service and communication. This is a full-time driving position scheduled Monday through Friday, with shifts ranging from 6:00 AM–2:00 PM to 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.12 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Concealed carry weapons permit.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry into controlled areas in accordance with site policies and procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
