About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in San Antonio, Texas. This driving post involves providing customer service and security support in a mission-focused environment. The officer will conduct armed patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor access, and respond to security concerns while following site-specific policies and procedures. The position pays $26.53 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Be subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A Guard Card/License is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate with site leadership, emergency responders, and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and vehicle entry requirements according to site protocols.
Maintain qualifications for an armed post and carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
