About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Cleared Security Officer responsible for protecting personnel, property, and sensitive or classified information. The role involves specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with the officer’s clearance level. The position pays $28.96 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 1400–2200.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance, as indicated in the posting, and be able to obtain a DoD position-appropriate security clearance.
• Minimum of three years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience.
• At least 21 years of age, or older if required by state law.
• Must be a United States citizen to obtain the required government clearance.
• Must be able to articulate and write clear, concise incident or situation reports.
• Armed guard card or license may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Preserve order and enforce site rules, regulations, and directives.
• Greet and assist guests and employees; escort visitors and contractors; secure ingress and egress points; and secure classified information.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances through written and verbal communication, and coordinate with the client or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate.
• Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
