About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Huntsville, Alabama, serving an aerospace and defense location. The officer conducts armed mobile patrols, maintains a visible security presence, supports access control and emergency response, and provides professional customer service and clear communication. The role is scheduled Tuesday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at $20.12 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; required for driving positions.
• Concealed carry weapons permit.
• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements under applicable state and/or local laws and regulations; required licenses may be needed before employment.

Nice To Haves

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain documentation for patrols, incidents, and security-related activities.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
