Application Validation Engineer

About The Position
Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a talented Application Validation Engineer to join the testing team based out of their San Jose headquarter office. This position involves working closely with BIOS and design teams to test and validate storage components, systems, and third-party storage components, as well as discovering and resolving hardware and software issues collaboratively. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience in enterprise storage and its components with strong testing knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience in hardware and storage validation environment
- Strong knowledge of computer architecture
- Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking
- Strong sense of team work and a good team player, strong communication skills in both speaking and writing
- Knowledge and experience of storage performance benchmarks, tuning, and automation tool
Responsibilities
- Perform storage components, storage system, and all-flash storage testing
- Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing
- Develop and validate newest storage solution for storage platforms with respect to industry standards
- Evaluate all of the storage components and storage systems testing
- Conceptualize, plan and execute the new storage design and development of test plan
- Perform storage system and its component level analysis, definition, testing, performance debugging, optimization and documentation
