About The Position

A leading electronics manufacturer is seeking a Junior Field Application Engineer to serve as the technical link between production facilities and customer engineering teams. This customer-facing, collaborative role combines technical expertise with relationship management across design, quality, and manufacturing functions. The position supports customer designs and technical discussions, coordinates with internal production and engineering groups, and helps align customer needs with manufacturing capabilities and technology roadmaps.

Requirements

Early-career engineering background suited to a customer-facing technical role.
Background in field applications, front-end engineering, process engineering, or quality engineering.

Responsibilities

Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and stack-up support for new and existing customer designs.
Participate in design reviews before release and help define drawing notes to meet specific design and manufacturing requirements.
Implement industry standards and customer-specific specification requirements.
Serve as the primary technical liaison between internal production and engineering groups and customers.
Attend scheduled customer meetings and provide technical question-and-answer support.
Travel to customer sites for technical discussions, program reviews, and issue resolution.
Create and deliver technical capability presentations in partnership with the sales team.
Communicate customer technology needs and roadmap gaps to internal teams.
Update customers on production capabilities and facility technology roadmaps.
Support factory investigations of quality issues as they arise.
Travel to factory locations to support customer visits and audits.
Collaborate with account managers to grow customer revenue through technical support.
