About The Position
PHI Health is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Finance & Accounting team in Phoenix, Arizona. PHI Health is a leading air ambulance provider in the United States, committed to providing top-tier emergency medical services with unmatched speed and efficiency. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the seamless operations that keep the advanced fleet soaring and patients safe, collaborating with industry professionals to enhance services and expand reach. PHI Health transports over 22,000 patients annually from more than 80 bases nationwide, maintaining the highest standard of safety and offering services and education to local communities and healthcare systems. The mission is to move communities to health while prioritizing safety.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years Accounts Payable experience
- Microsoft Excel, Word and Office skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well organized, able to multi-task, and deadline driven
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check
Responsibilities
- Create new vendor profiles in accordance with company credit approvals and policy
- Accurately track and monitor all incoming invoices for approval and payment within designated terms; maintain and reconcile payment registers
- Process Purchase Orders and other subcontractor orders in accounting system in accordance with delegation of authority limits
- Reconcile vendor statements to accounting system
- Work with Procurement Department to resolve discrepancies
- Communicate with vendors and all levels of internal personnel to ensure timely completion of Accounts Payable department responsibilities
- Perform other related accounting and clerical duties as assigned
