About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art specialty and emergency hospital in South Austin, TX, and is looking for compassionate, customer-focused Veterinary Receptionists to join their founding team. The new hospital will provide advanced emergency and specialty care in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others, thriving in fast-paced environments, and making a difference during emotional moments. As a founding Client Services team member, you will help shape the culture and first impressions of the hospital while supporting a team dedicated to exceptional medicine and compassionate care. The new hospital will feature dedicated Emergency and ICU departments, three fully equipped surgical suites, in-house CT, an Internal Medicine procedure room, and specialty services including Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Cardiology, all within a collaborative team focused on compassion, learning, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and compassionate in emotionally charged situations.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thrive as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.

Nice To Haves

  • Veterinary or medical reception experience is preferred but customer service professionals with transferable experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome every client with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
  • Create a positive first impression for every client and patient who walks through our doors.
  • Answer phones clearly, calmly, and professionally while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assess arriving patients and recognize urgent versus non-urgent situations.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments while ensuring clients understand appointment instructions.
  • Coordinate communication between clients and the medical team.
  • Offer compassionate support and resources to grieving pet families.
  • Assist with the respectful coordination of aftercare services.
  • Help create an organized, efficient, and welcoming hospital environment.
