Veterinary Technician Supervisor - Surgery
About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Summerville is seeking a Surgery Veterinary Technician Supervisor to lead and support a team of veterinary professionals. The role calls for advanced veterinary skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to train, mentor, motivate, and engage team members. The supervisor works with hospital leadership and supports staff development, communication, and performance improvement. The pay range is $24–$43 per hour, with the starting point dependent on experience and advancement through the competency leveling system. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or sponsorship transfer; applicants must have unrestricted, current U.S. work authorization and must not require future employment-based green-card sponsorship.
Requirements
- Advanced veterinary skills.
- Ability to train and mentor staff.
- Excellent communication, time-management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
- Mentor surgery staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills, and business knowledge.
- Coach team members to anticipate and address patient and client needs, and to seek assistance with escalated or stressful situations.
- Work with hospital leadership to organize technician and assistant meetings.
- Organize training schedules for technician staff.
- Identify workplace conflicts and seek assistance in resolving them.
- Provide feedback and leadership, and help develop performance improvement plans.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
