About The Position

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. (Jorgensen) is a world leader in maintenance management, providing facility and highway infrastructure, consulting, maintenance, and management services for over 65 years. The firm specializes in the operations and maintenance of transportation and public infrastructure assets, employing professional engineers, certified quality control inspectors, and experienced maintenance technicians. This position is for a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician with Traffic Control Supervisor certification to perform maintenance operations in the Denver, CO area, specifically on the Central 70 project. The role involves a variety of tasks including highway maintenance, traffic set up and oversight, debris removal, street sweeping, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, mowing and vegetation control, and roadway snow removal, all while adhering to regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Active Traffic Control Supervisor Certification (please bring to the interview)
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Roadway maintenance experience
  • Driver License required
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
  • Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
  • Carry out simple arithmetic functions
  • Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
  • Ability to use smart phone and applications
  • Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
  • Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
  • Ability to operate hand/power tools

Nice To Haves

  • CDL A or B preferred
  • Concrete/asphalt experience
  • Guardrail repair experience
  • Landscaping experience
  • Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
  • Clean driving record is essential

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance operations in the Denver, CO area, specifically on the Central 70 project.
  • Perform a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance.
  • Perform maintenance of traffic set up & oversight.
  • Perform debris removal, street sweeping, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, mowing and vegetation control, roadway snow removal.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform regular maintenance activities and manual labor with crew.
  • Perform Traffic control set ups.
  • Work during snow and ice events.
