About The Position

Mint City Traffic Control is hiring Traffic Flaggers/Technicians in the Bremen, Indiana area. The company provides free ATSSA training and certification to new flaggers and aims to maintain safe worksites for workers, clients, and the community through prompt, professional service. The role involves supporting traffic control and safe work-zone operations while meeting company and industry standards for safety, professionalism, and quality. Work is outdoors in varying weather conditions and may involve full-time, part-time, or on-call scheduling, Monday through Friday with possible Saturdays. Flexible scheduling, on-call work, overtime, and year-round work are noted. Benefits may be available after a waiting period.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
Valid ATSSA or state-approved Flagger Certification required, or ability to obtain it.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Ability to understand and apply OSHA, ATSSA, and company safety standards.
Strong understanding of traffic-control procedures and safe work-zone setup.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety signs, signals, and work-zone plans.
Effective verbal communication skills.
Ability to use two-way radios or other communication devices effectively.
Situational awareness to monitor traffic and pedestrian flow and identify potential hazards.
Ability to cooperate with others and take direction from supervisors.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to lift, carry, and position traffic-control devices weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, wind, and other weather conditions.
Dependable, punctual, and prepared for each shift; committed to safety and professional, courteous interactions.

Nice To Haves

Current OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
Previous traffic control, construction, or roadway maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
