About The Position

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children.
• Must meet the required state background check.
• Ability to use an iPad to enter children’s daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents.
• Adequate oral and written communication skills.
• Patience, attentiveness, and understanding of young children and their developmental needs.
• Sense of urgency and flexibility.
• Positive and caring attitude.
• Receptiveness to feedback and coaching.
• Dependability and attendance required for school operations.

Nice To Haves

• Work experience in a licensed childcare facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a fun and safe learning environment for 4- and 5-year-old students.
• Use the provided daily schedule and research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum to guide instruction.
• Meet children at their individual learning levels and provide small-group instruction.
• Modify lessons to meet children’s needs and learning progress.
• Support kindergarten readiness and children’s social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Work with a co-teacher to implement lesson plans.
• Prepare materials for learning activities and active play.
• Use an iPad to enter children’s daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents.
