About The Position

As a Pre-K Teacher at the Primrose School of Mt. Juliet, you will provide 4- and 5-year-old students with a fun, safe environment where they can discover new concepts with confidence. Using the provided daily schedule and research-informed curriculum, you will meet each child at their individual level and guide them through small-group instruction as they develop their ability to absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information. You may modify lessons to meet children where they are in the learning cycle while helping them refine kindergarten-readiness skills and nurturing their social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development. The school provides clear daily curriculum plans, necessary resources, a fully stocked classroom, and a co-teacher paired to complement your teaching style. You will work with your co-teacher to implement the Balanced Learning® curriculum, prepare materials for learning activities and active play, and receive support from a dedicated Education Coach. The school also offers professional development and hands-on training, a supportive leadership team, and nightly professional cleaning. Compensation is based on experience and is listed at $17.00–$19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children.
Must meet the required state background check.
Ability to use an iPad to enter children’s daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents.
Adequate oral and written communication skills.
Patience, attentiveness, and understanding of young children and their developmental needs.
Sense of urgency and flexibility.
Positive and caring attitude.
Receptiveness to feedback and coaching.
Dependability and attendance required for school operations.

Nice To Haves

Work experience in a licensed childcare facility is preferred.
