Lead Prekindergarten Teacher
About The Position
The Gardner School of Eagan is hiring a Lead Prekindergarten Teacher to work in its state-of-the-art preschool facility. The role leads a classroom and supports children’s learning in a professional, supportive, mission-driven environment where ideas and professional growth are valued. The Lead Teacher plans developmentally appropriate lessons, builds relationships with children and families, mentors assistant teachers, and maintains a safe, compliant, and joyful classroom. The position requires active engagement throughout the day and the ability to complete classroom leadership and communication duties.
Requirements
- CDA or associate's degree required.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
- At least 2 years of early childhood education experience.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Intermediate PC skills and proficiency with general administrative tasks.
- Ability to stand, sit on the floor, bend, and lift up to approximately 60 pounds.
- Ability to fulfill the cognitive and interpersonal aspects of classroom leadership, including speaking, hearing, reading, writing, focusing attention, and building relationships.
- Fluent English reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension sufficient to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff, implement curriculum and safety procedures, and complete written reports.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related degree.
- Lead or co-lead early childhood education experience.
