About The Position

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• At least one year of formal experience as a Banquet Server in a conference center banquet facility, arena, full-service hotel, or restaurant operation.
• Good customer service skills and the ability to develop and enhance guest loyalty.
• Ability to follow Legends Global policies and procedures and Universal Service Standards.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol-service training.
• Knowledge of food-service equipment, basic food preparation techniques, sanitation, and safety.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with staff, plan ahead, and prepare event plans simultaneously.
• Ability to take initiative, work effectively with others, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, and attend all major arena events.
• Must obtain a Food Handler's Permit upon hire.
• Ability to move around the facility, stand for long hours during events, and talk and hear.
• Computer skills are not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide cordial, efficient, and professional service to suite guests, including serving food and beverages and answering questions.
• Verify and set up pre-game and event orders; identify and introduce yourself to the suite host.
• Take and place game-day food and beverage orders, set them up, check on them, and serve guests through the end of the event.
• Replenish food, beverages, condiments, and utensils as needed.
• Maintain food presentation and proper serving temperatures.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in suites throughout events; clear items, clean surfaces and chafing dishes, and reset suites for the next function.
• Obtain host signatures for charges in a timely manner.
• Assist with food, beverage, equipment, china, glassware, and silverware inventories.
• Organize, clean, maintain, and look after equipment during and after functions; ensure storerooms are clean, organized, and secure.
• Follow sanitation procedures, safety guidelines, OSHA requirements, and applicable food and beverage policies and regulations.
• Follow designated opening and closing procedures to keep areas secure and energy efficient.
• Communicate special requests, guest problems, or concerns promptly to the Food & Beverage Manager.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors, fellow employees, and other departments.
• Attend all Legends Global alcohol and policy training classes.
• Perform reasonable requests assigned by management to meet arena staffing and performance needs.
