About The Position
Advantech is seeking a SAP Solutions Engineer to join its enterprise technology team in Milpitas, California. The role designs, implements, and optimizes SAP-based solutions supporting supply chain and operational excellence. It works cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical solutions and support systems used in Advantech’s global operations. The position involves coordinating and delivering projects across SAP functional areas, including Material Management, Inventory Management, Logistics Execution, Order Management, Order to Cash, Production Planning, and Finance Costing. The engineer prepares solution and integration plans, documentation, and technical solutions aligned with business objectives, and supports testing, deployment, cut-over, go-live, and troubleshooting. The position is onsite in Milpitas, CA. The posting lists compensation of $110,000–$125,000. Applicants must meet the stated U.S. Government export authorization requirements. Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in SAP MM, IM, and LE modules.
- Proficiency in SAP ABAP coding.
- Extensive experience designing and architecting solutions across SAP functional areas, including MM, IM, LE, OM, and OTC.
- Experience with at least 3 full life-cycle implementations of cross-module SAP projects involving MM, IM, LE, and OTC-related processes.
- Configuration experience in SAP MM, IM, OTC, and LE modules.
- Meet U.S. Government export authorization requirements: be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Nice To Haves
- Expertise in SAP MM, IM, planning (MRP/MPS), OTC, and LS modules, including configuration and implementation in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of cross-application component integration across SAP modules, including MM, LE, OTC, PP, and FI.
- Customization experience in SAP ECC or HANA supply-chain-related modules.
- Strong analysis, design, and project management skills.
- Business knowledge of supply chain functions and associated data.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement SAP solutions following industry best practices.
- Provide functional design documents and implementation documentation to development teams.
- Lead and participate in business requirement discussions and coordinate end-to-end execution of MM, IM, LE, OTC, and PP projects and technology implementations.
- Implement cross-functional solutions with teams working across SAP MM, IM, LE, OM, OTC, and FICO modules.
- Gather and analyze business requirements; prepare solution options and integration plans; develop technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Coordinate with end users to test solutions and support deployment, cut-over, and go-live activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
