About The Position

The Solution Engineer III bridges the technical gap between WellSky’s solution offerings and client needs. The role collaborates with sales, solution development, project management, and implementation teams to understand client requirements, propose technical solutions, and demonstrate the value of WellSky solutions. It involves designing and supporting customized solutions, communicating with clients about feasibility and scope, and addressing technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 4–6 years of relevant work experience.
• Programming and software development experience, including coding, testing, debugging, and delivering technical solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with SQL development and database querying.
• Experience developing applications using C#.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps, Jira, and GitHub.
• Experience building and supporting web services and Web APIs.
• Ability to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate technical and non-technical concepts into solution designs and specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and comfortably with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work directly with customers to identify, troubleshoot, and solve complex business and technical challenges.
• Ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude or GitHub Copilot, to enhance software development, troubleshooting, documentation, and solution design.
• Demonstrated interest in adopting emerging AI technologies and incorporating AI-enabled tools into daily workflows.
• Experience in consulting, implementation, professional services, or other client-facing technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project managers to recommend, plan, and execute development implementation tasks aligned with client objectives, and develop recommendations to mitigate project risks.
• Facilitate discovery sessions to gather and document requirements and assess the feasibility of custom solutions.
• Architect custom solutions focused on scalability, security, and performance using development tools and technical modalities.
• Debug and perform root cause analysis for custom solution issues, documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge in at least one solution application and use multiple functionalities, tools, and modalities for effective customization.
• Communicate with clients about request feasibility through tailored explanations and ensure adherence to scope.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
• Work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information.
