About The Position

As a Security Guard Unarmed Transit in Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • One or more years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • The ability to use a computer or tablet comfortably is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic, and provide information and support to the public while following location procedures.
  • Observe and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations, and complete required reports with accuracy and professionalism.
