About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Guard for its Flex Team, serving sites in San Francisco and the East Bay. The role requires flexibility to work any day of the week and any shift—day, swing, or overnight—as scheduling needs vary. Guards may work indoors or outdoors in variable environments and patrol locations such as retail stores, airports, and detention centers. The position involves observing surroundings, anticipating risks, responding to critical situations, enforcing procedures and standards, and helping protect people and property. Physical ability is essential because the work involves moving around and patrolling throughout the shift.

The position pays $35 per hour, depending on site pay. Requirements

• At least five years of security experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• A state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Baton permit.
• OC spray permit.
• Handcuff permit.
• Documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to commute to and work at San Francisco and East Bay sites.
• Flexibility and availability to work any day of the week and any shift, including day, swing, or overnight.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Provide an up-to-date security resume.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Observe and survey assigned areas and report on activity.
• Work indoors and outdoors in variable environments.
• Respond rapidly to critical situations, threats, and incidents.
• Read and write detailed reports.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards as appropriate.
• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Detain and search individuals.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
