About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Guard for its Flex Team, serving sites in San Francisco and the East Bay. The role requires at least five years of security experience, flexibility to work any day of the week and any shift (day, swing, or overnight), and the ability to commute to assigned sites. Tactical Security Guards observe and assess their surroundings, patrol assigned locations, respond to incidents, and help protect people and property. Work may take place indoors or outdoors in variable environments such as retail stores, airports, and detention centers. The position is physically active, involving movement throughout the shift and prolonged standing and walking.

Requirements

• At least five years of security experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• State security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional security training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Baton permit.
• OC spray permit.
• Handcuff permit.
• Documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness and ability to commute to San Francisco and East Bay sites.
• Flexibility and availability to work any day of the week and any shift, including day, swing, or overnight shifts, as scheduling needs vary.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Current security resume.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Observe and survey assigned areas and report activity.
• Work indoors and outdoors in variable environments.
• Provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Read and write detailed reports.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards when appropriate.
• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Detain and search.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
