About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Mall Security Guard, also described as a Retail Security Officer – Response, for a site in Gilroy, California. The role varies by day and special event and may include customer service, patrols, and surveillance. The guard helps protect people and property by monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and adapting to changing situations. This is a full-time position with a stated schedule of Monday, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 7:00 a.m.–3:33 p.m.; and Thursday–Sunday, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. The posting also says candidates must be flexible and available any day of the week and on any shift, including day, swing, or overnight, as scheduling needs may vary. The hourly wage is $20.60. Uniforms are provided at no cost, and DailyPay is available to GardaWorld employees.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have an active driver's license.
Must have a state security license and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
Must be flexible and available to work any day of the week and any shift (day, swing, or overnight) as scheduling needs vary.
Must submit an up-to-date security resume.
Ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
Responsive with strong problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Preferably, at least three months of security experience.
Security, military, or law enforcement experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities
