About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard Mall Patrol Driver in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, to serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location. The role conducts routine vehicle and unarmed patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provides customer service to tenants and visitors. The driver post requires a valid driver’s license. The officer communicates clearly, documents activity, and supports a welcoming environment while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. The scheduled shifts are 6:00 AM–2:00 PM Monday through Thursday and Sunday. Pay is $18.06 per hour. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local rules.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, documenting observations and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate professionally with property staff and visitors.
