About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Authorization in Elwood, Illinois. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and may scale back when needed. This is primarily a driving post.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access-control records and communicate access concerns or irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
