About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Dekalb, Illinois, to safeguard a food and beverage production location. The role combines visible security patrols, access monitoring, customer service, incident response, and support for facility protection. The scheduled hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pay is $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements that may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the production location, including exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor entry requirements, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Observe loading areas, deliveries, and restricted locations to support food defense and facility protection, and report concerns to site leadership.
