About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Emergency Response in Lockport, Illinois, to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, providing customer service, and responding professionally to security concerns and emergencies. The position is scheduled Wednesday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries according to site procedures; document observations and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established reporting and response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence and welcoming environment.
