About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of the premises, employees, and visitors. The role requires keen observation skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to maintaining a secure environment. The position is full-time and permanent in Orange County, California, with a graveyard schedule of Thursday through Monday, generally 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.; the Saturday shift is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Applicants must be able to commit to all scheduled shifts. Pay is $17–$19 per hour, with weekly pay every Thursday.

Requirements

• Must have a current BSIS Guard Card.
• Must have a duty belt.
• Must have a baton with permit, OC spray with permit, and/or Taser.
• Must have handcuffs.
• Must commit to all scheduled shifts.
• Must possess a current valid driver's license; may be required to submit a copy of driving records.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in stressful situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow established protocols.
• Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security checks and patrols within the building.
• Monitor security cameras and alarms.
• Ensure that doors, windows, and gates are secured.
• Respond promptly to security-related incidents or emergencies.
• Assist with access control for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Maintain detailed records of incidents, activities, and observations.
• Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols.
