About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a part-time Security Guard for a retail site in Fremont, California. The role involves observing the environment, anticipating risks, patrolling the site, and responding appropriately to threats and incidents. Guards help protect people and property by monitoring access and security systems, checking alarms and cameras, documenting incidents, and coordinating with law enforcement during serious incidents. The schedule is 16 hours per week on Sunday and Monday, from 4:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Hold a state security license and have completed additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be able to provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
