About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer at a healthcare location in Beech Island, South Carolina, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and supporting access procedures. You will provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and vendors, communicate professionally, respond to security concerns, and follow site-specific procedures. The role includes scheduled overnight shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and vendors while following access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access logs according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
Help maintain an orderly healthcare environment by directing visitors, reporting suspicious activity, and following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
