About The Position

The Security Guard is a fan-facing role responsible for protecting fans, team members, and venue assets while maintaining a welcoming and positive guest experience. The position involves proactive personal interaction, enforcing venue rules and security procedures, and supporting emergency response. The role requires constant walking, stair climbing, and lifting and carrying more than 50 pounds, with occasional sitting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• California Guard Card required.
• Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to perform duties professionally and maintain a professional appearance.
• Ability to make independent, sound judgments within established policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Acute judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
• Ability to walk constantly, climb stairs, and lift and carry more than 50 pounds; occasional sitting is required.

Nice To Haves

• Security or law enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect the safety and security of fans, team members, and venue assets.
• Check identification of fans who appear to be under 30 and are consuming alcoholic beverages.
• Lead fans and team members through emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance as needed.
• Monitor and authorize the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other people to prevent theft and maintain premises security and safety.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, which may include equipment or property damage, theft, unauthorized people, or unusual occurrences.
• Patrol the premises to prevent and detect intrusion and check the security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Enforce Cosm's policy on photos, videos, and recording devices during shows.
• Operate detection devices to screen people and prevent prohibited articles from entering restricted areas.
• Warn people about rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from the premises.
