About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location in Blythewood, South Carolina. This driving patrol position involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role requires a valid driver’s license and professionalism and customer service skills. The posted schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The pay rate is $19.89 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations; identify unusual conditions and report observations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, documenting arrivals, departures, and incidents as required.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts or emergency services when needed.
- Complete accurate activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
